Editing InDesign and Premiere Pro project files from the Asset Browser

Selecting Edit from the context menu for any checked-out asset in the Asset Browser opens that asset for editing in its respective application. On the same lines, opening checked-out Adobe apps’ project files opens these files in their respective apps.

However, from Zoom 7.3 onwards, selecting Edit for checked-out Premiere Pro or InDesign project files from the context menu does not open the files in their respective app, instead, their containing working copy folders are opened. To fix this and ensure that checked-out INDD and PRPRO files are always opened in their apps for editing, follow these steps:

  1. On the Zoom Client machine, open the conf folder in the Zoom installation directory (Mac: /Applications/Evolphin/zoom/Resources/conf/ and Windows: {Zoom_Installation_Directory}\conf\)
  2. From the conf folder, open mimetype-header.properties for editing in a text editor.
  3. Add each of these on a new line:

    INDD=application/vnd.adobe.indesign

    PRPROJ=application/vnd.adobe.premiere

  4. Save and close the file.
  5. Restart ClientProxy
