Zoom Client Upgrade from 4.x to 5.3 or greater

Upgrade Instructions for Windows client:

The following instructions describe how to upgrade a Zoom Client installed on Windows 7/8. These instructions assume that you have downloaded the zoom-client-win64.zip from the Zoom Support Center.

Uninstall old zoom version (4.x)

  1. Go to Control Panel > Program and Features and Uninstall Evolphin Zoom .
  2. Follow the instructions of uninstallation process and Restart the client machine when it prompts.
Do not delete .zm and Evolphin Zoom (working copy) folders. Old settings like server URL not showing up? See this FAQ for help.

Install latest zoom version (5.3 or Greater)

  1. Unzip the zoom-client-win64.zip downloaded from the Zoom Support Center.
  2. From the extracted Client folder run the Setup.exe.
  3. Follow the wizard instructions.
  4. After system restart, Restart Client Proxy from Z menu
  5. Check the Zoom Client Version from Z menu.

Upgrade Instructions for Mac client:

The following instructions describe how to upgrade a Zoom Client installed on Mac OS X. These instructions assume that you have downloaded the zoom-client-mac32.dmg from the Zoom Support Center.

Uninstall old zoom version (4.x)

  1. Run the Uninstall Zoom.app located in /Applications/Evolphin/zoom/Uninstall Zoom.app.
  2. Click OK to uninstall and follow the uninstallation wizard.

Install latest zoom version (5.3 or Greater)

  1. Double Click the zoom-client-mac32.dmg downloaded from the Zoom Support Center.
  2. Double Click the zoom-client-mac32.pkg to install zoom.
  3. Follow the wizard instructions and complete the installation.
  4. Restart the client proxy from Z menu
  5. Check the zoom Client Version from Z menu.
