Upgrading the Zoom Client

Zoom Client Upgrade (5.2 or greater)

Upgrade Instructions for Windows client:

The following instructions describe how to upgrade a Zoom Client installed on Windows 7 or newer releases. These instructions assume that you have downloaded the zoom-client-win64.zip from the Zoom Support Center.

  1. Go to Control Panel > Program and Features and Uninstall Evolphin Zoom.
  2. Restart the client machine.
    Do not delete .zm and Evolphin Zoom (working copy) folders. Old settings like server URL not showing up? See this FAQ for help.
  3. Unzip zoom-client-win64.zip.
  4. From the extracted Client folder run Setup.exe.
  5. Follow the wizard instructions.
  6. After the system restarts, check the Zoom Client Version.

Upgrade Instructions for Mac client:

The following instructions describe how to upgrade a Zoom Client installed on macOS. These instructions assume that you have downloaded the zoom-client-mac64.dmg from the Zoom Support Center.

  1. Run the Uninstall Zoom.app located in /Applications/Evolphin/zoom/Uninstall Zoom.app .
  2. Click OK to uninstall.
    Do not delete .zm and Evolphin Zoom (working copy) folders. Old settings like server URL not showing up? See this FAQ for help.
  3. Double Click the zoom-client-mac64.dmg downloaded from the Zoom Support Center.
  4. Double Click the zoom-client-mac64.pkg to install zoom.
  5. Follow the wizard instructions.
  6. Check the Zoom Client Version.
