Archiving/restoring is a necessary requirement in asset management solutions. Zoom also allows archiving of assets using various types of archive modules. It has a built-in basic module that handles simple archiving to a single path on the MAM Server. It also allows integration with many external archive modules.
An archive module allows the Zoom archive manager to delegate the actual archive/restore operation to a specific archive handler. The following are currently supported:

VideoFX manages ingest of high-res assets in Zoom and uses third-party transcoding server like Telestream Vantage for proxy-generation. The high-res assets can only be archived using external archive modules, as these assets reside outside Zoom repository. An overview of these external archive modules and their flow is described here. The archive of assets in the Zoom repository may still be set up using Zoom’s basic built-in archive module.
This post lists the configuration details specific to using VideoFX with AWS S3 archiving. If you only need VideoFX, and no S3 archive support, then do not setup S3 as described below.

Signup with Amazon AWS and get your credentials for accessing AWS S3. Save these details to be used later in your VideoFX setup.

Check Getting started with Zoom VideoFX (Zoom 5.x – 7.2) for information about setting up VideoFX. Use AWS access information when prompted to do so in the set up of the config.ini file for the script installers.
