Upgrading Zoom Client

Step-by-step guide to upgrading Zoom on Mac and Windows

Introduction

The following instructions describe how to uninstall Zoom and install a new version of Zoom on Mac OS X and Windows.

Mac OS X

  1. Run the Uninstall Zoom.app located in /Applications/Evolphin/zoom/Uninstall Zoom.app.
  2. Click OK to uninstall.
  3. Once the installer is complete, open the zoom-client-mac.dmg you downloaded from the Zoom Support Center.
  4. Double-click the zoom-client-mac32.pkg to install Zoom.
  5. Follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
    If Adobe CS5 uninstall generated an error, please uninstall and reinstall using the Adobe CS5 Extension Manager. Click here for more details.
  6. Once installed, go to the Z menu > About Zoom.
  7. Confirm the that Version is the same as the server.

Windows 7 / 8

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel.
  2. Under Programs, select Uninstall a program.
  3. In the list, select Evolphin Zoom and click Uninstall.
  4. When prompted “Are you sure you want to uninstall Evolphin Zoom” click Yes.
  5. Follow the instructions in the uninstall wizard.
  6. Unzip the zoom-client-win64.zip downloaded from the Zoom Support Center.
  7. Once unzipped, navigate to the server/ folder.
  8. Double-click setup.exe.
  9. Follow the instructions for the Zoom installer.
  10. You will be prompted to restart your computer. Restart your computer.
